Tape Recorder and Cassette model Here is my final attempt at creating the cassette tape there were multiple failures mostly with the spacing partly because of my partial lack of understanding when it came to some components however adding the outside "shell" it came together. To create the cassette itself I had to initially alter the base divisions of the cube pre-set giving me the divisions I needed, after I got the width and length right I selected a few faces and circularised them and then extruded them inwards to act as the spool holes that the tape spins around. The casing was created in a similar way except I removed some faces and extruded and angled others. Each of these components were also bevelled using the respective tool. Clothing and Folds Week 9

 Clothing and Folds  This was a recap of the types of folds. I did these sketches in pen to make me consider my pen strokes more carefully and so I can better define the folds through contrast. These are the first sketches we were tasked to draw these in a certain time limit I initially used pencil and then outlined the first one in pen however after we moved onto drawing without lifting our pencils I stopped. The second sketch on this page was done without lifting my pencil from the page in a 3 minute time limit. These sketches were done under the same rules as the last image.

role models - industry practice

 Role models - Industry practice  Jen Zee My role model in the Games industry is Jen Zee - the Art Director at Supergiant Games, the people behind the likes of Bastion (2011) and Hades (2018). I have chosen her because she has an easily recognisable style in her work. Jen was hired by a the founders of Supergiant Games Amir Rao and Gavin Simon, she was one of the original 7 members that developed Bastion (2011) at this point she was already the art director of the company because she was the only artist. At that point Jen had already had roles on previous projects like Gaia Online (2003) producing concept art and illustrations. If I were to try and take an aspect of Jen's art work and apply it to my own, it would most certainly be her use of shapes. Upon some brief analysis a lot of her work includes sharp angles and somewhat hard edges giving her work a bold silhouette while the inner shapes of the character or environment are relatively soft creating a nice balance between...

 Labour Market: Games Industry Source: Newzoo, Games Market Reports and Forecasts,  July 2024  Source: Newzoo, Games Market Reports and Forecasts,  January 2024  From this Data set alone I can see that revenue generated by the global games industry has increased just over a short year and this year hasn't concluded yet. The over all raise in revenue is approximately 4 billion USD a 2.1% increase year over year in comparison to 2023's 0.5% increase from 2022.
