3D environment sketches
This blog is just an experimentation on whether I could compose convincing city shots using 3D software in this case Autodesk Maya (2025). All I did to make these "sketches" was use a flat plane and then extrude selected polygons to construct a convincing city silhouette from varying angles using a separate camera angle to help compose my shot.
These 3d mock ups were just an experiment in using maya in my pipeline, although it is quick and useful I feel as if the compositions on top of my lack of experience make these "sketches" too static and so I won't take these any further as I believe it will be a waste of time however this technique might prove useful on other projects.
